Tell us about yourself and your journey to work in International Logistics. 

I’m based in Chicago, fortunate to share my life with a supportive family and two incredible young kids. Professionally, I bring over 16 years of experience in IT Leadership, primarily in the Logistics space. I’ve always been passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex business challenges, a journey that started right out of college and has taken me through managing global teams and transforming IT landscapes for better business outcomes.

My entry into the logistics and technology sector was propelled by a blend of curiosity and opportunity. With a background in consulting, my first steps involved immersing myself in understanding the intricate challenges of the logistics space.

I sought out projects that allowed me to work closely with logistics firms, leveraging my IT expertise to streamline operations, and enhance efficiency. This hands-on experience, combined with a commitment to continuous learning and adapting to technological advancements, paved my way into a specialized role in the industry.

I started working for ePost Global when it was still RR Donnelley. Starting my first steps in processing parcels in the warehouse, I learned a lot in the short period in the warehouse. I went from sorting mail, processing parcels, and prepping Canadian shipments to becoming a customer service representative.

Tell us about your role at ePost Global.

At ePost Global, I lead the IT organization with a focus on aligning our technology initiatives with business and financial goals. My role encompasses ensuring data security, managing risks, and overseeing disaster recovery and business continuity processes. I work closely with various business units to explore how IT can drive value, spearhead the development of technology platforms, and tailor solutions to meet our dynamic needs.

My responsibility also involves planning and executing new systems, staying ahead of technological advancements, and steering our annual budget process, all while maintaining robust vendor relationships and ensuring our projects align with our strategic priorities.

Seeing the tangible impact of our work on both our business and our clients’ success is incredibly rewarding.

What’s been your best day at work so far? 

My best day at ePost was when we successfully implemented a major system overhaul that had been in the works for months. Witnessing the seamless transition and immediate positive feedback from our team and clients alike was a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. It was a moment of collective achievement and a clear indication that we were on the right path towards transforming global shipping.

What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work here?

The moment I knew I’d made the right decision was during a project where we faced significant challenges due to unforeseen external factors.
