Meet Jodi Barbosa, Strategic Account Service Manager at ePost Global

Jodi’s journey in International Logistics spans over 30 years, with 2 1/2 of those dedicated to ePost Global. Starting part-time in a call center, Jodi’s commitment to her career blossomed as opportunities unfolded. From parcels to couriers, air, ocean, and rail, she navigated various divisions, finding her niche in customer-facing roles. 

Proudly contributing to ePost’s growth, Jodi values the opportunity to shape the company’s brand and culture. Challenging days fuel her growth, reaffirming her decision to join ePost.

Tell us about yourself and your journey to work in International Logistics. 

I have been in the transportation industry for over 30 years, and have worked at ePost Global for 2 1/2 of those. I started my career part time in a call center to fill hours around my kids school schedule. As my children grew up, I dedicated more hours to my career. 

I have been extremely fortunate to have found an industry that has so many opportunities. I have worked in many different areas of the transportation industry giving me a well rounded picture of the entire shipping process, but have always found my way back to the customer facing roles. 

In the beginning, I was looking for something very part-time. I was only going to work a short time for some extra vacation money. I worked 4 hours a day. As time went on, opportunities kept presenting themselves, adding more hours to the day. It was exciting to keep growing. 

I moved to various divisions and companies. I not only experienced the ecommerce parcel division but was part of the implication, courier, air, ocean and rail movement of the shipping industry. My part time quickly changed to a full time very engaging career. 

What are you most proud of working at ePost Global?

I am proud of working for ePost knowing that I play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our business. It’s a smaller employee base which has a family feel. Every person feels like they are an important player. We are building a new brand and culture. 

It’s an environment where everyone has a voice and the best ideas are implemented. Things are always changing and people pivot when necessary to ensure things are done timely. This company has people with years of experience but building a new brand and I’m proud to be part of the development. 

What is one thing that sets ePost apart from its competitors? 

What sets ePost Global apart from its competitors is maintaining a close relationship with their customers. ePost knows that personalizing processes and practices around a customer’s needs is vital to maintaining business. 

They are also always looking for ways to improve the customer’s experience. Each account is assigned a customer service contact for a personalized experience. Ensuring all issues are

addressed daily with internal cross functional teams enables us to provide exceptional service and communicate any issues to our customers proactively. 

What’s been your best day at work so far? 

There have been many “best” days. It’s too difficult to choose just one. The days that are the most challenging are always the best days. Challenges present opportunities to learn. 

Learning more about how the company works at a deeper level makes me feel more valued, confident and comfortable with future challenges. Challenging days bring value and those are the best for me to experience. 

What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work here?

I knew I had made the right decision to work here after the first month. I had some training in NJ and CA and connected with people I know in the past. I felt welcomed and appreciated from the very first interview, but after meeting everyone, old and new, and training alongside them, I knew this was a good fit for me.
