Financial Analyst – Cypress, CA (Hybrid)

Position Summary

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting (50%), ensuring vendors are charging accurately, managing accounts payable processes (30%), and assisting with accounting functions, including journal entries and month-end close (20%). This role combines traditional financial analysis with hands-on AP oversight and accounting support, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen. You will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and procurement teams to optimize cost controland reporting accuracy. This position will work hybrid out of our Cypress, California location.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Perform financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
  • Analyze cost structures, spending trends, and vendor-related financial performance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Monitor KPIs and collaborate with teams to improve cost optimization and financial efficiency.
Accounts Payable & Vendor Cost Accuracy
  • Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Validate vendor pricing and charges against purchase orders and agreements to prevent overbilling.
  •  Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoicing, pricing errors, or incorrect charges.
  • Collaborate with our Finance and IT teams to optimize cost controls.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance AP accuracy and efficiency.
Accounting & Month-End Close
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, and AP reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely completion of reconciliations and reports.
  • Assist in reconciling AP sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Provide documentation and explanations for audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or accounts payable.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex modeling.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, cost analysis, and vendor invoicing.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles GAAP and month-end close procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, and procurement teams.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay Type

Estimated Wage Range $55k-65K/Annually based on hourly rate
