Dispatch Lead

  • Reports to: Transportation Manager
  • Supervision: Dispatch Team

Position Summary

The candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, leading the dispatch team, and will be working out of our Cypress, California, location. This position is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of our goods and services.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all related dispatch activities as needed, like hiring, training, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Manage workflow and scheduling of all ePG drivers
  • Research and prepare resources to develop timely as well as efficient workflow.
  • Manage development and research as well as reconcile departmental reports.
  • Manage workflow and quota calendars of sub-contractors.
  • Manage complete daily installations quota as well as service calls in different geographic territory areas.
  • Maintain steady visibility and track of every technician every day.
  • Identify issues or attain approvals for dispatching grid as submitted by the Dispatcher Specialist on demand.
  • Convey departmental tasks for the guidance of management.
  • Maintain contact with all clients and outside vendors, including issue resolution.
  • Conducted project management and coordinated duties as required.
  • Execute personnel activities per the company’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Prepare individual and departmental training plans.
  • Ensure all staff members attain company as well as location standards.
  • Monitor employees as well as operational processes.

  • Data entry, Email, Word, and Excel experience. 
  • Industry-related or equivalent export experience with domestic shipping and TSA requirements.
  • Prior experience in the logistics field or transportation of 6 months minimum.
